Making a commitment to improving your physical condition can be challenging - Investing in a dedicated personal trainer with a wealth of relevant knowledge can make that challenge much easier. Your time is valuable and we believe you will make the most of it by training with one of our PTs. We like to maintain a holistic approach with our clients, tailoring our exercise and nutrition programmes to your individual needs.

Our rates for personal training sessions start from $40 per half hour, with discounts for block bookings and group sessions.

Ben has years of experience within the performance environments of competitive sport. While playing a rugby trial match in 2015 he sustained a back injury that led to his fascination with human physiology. Through committing to a prescribed rehabilitation and training programme he recovered from his back pain and the intermittent numbness he experienced in his legs. During his recovery he learned the importance of core stability and strength which form the foundation of healthy movement patterns. Having these healthy movement patterns is vital to our long-term health and developing them in his clients is Ben's top priority.

Ben also specialises in applying the principles of healthy nutrition and metabolic conditioning to a client's goals, whether they be fat loss, cardiovascular fitness or strength gains.

Metabolic conditioning refers to structured patterns of exertion and rest to elicit a desired response from the body - By challenging our different energy systems. Our bodies have 3 main energy systems which can be worked by varying our training intensity as well as our rest intervals. In doing so, we can cause progressive adaptations to our body that will increase our efficiency, as well as our ability to burn fat and build muscle.

Researchers from the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research have determined that metabolic conditioning workouts should be based on an individual's level of fitness and desired outcomes - Which is where we at MetCon Training come in.
